Oldham and District Model Aero Club

The Club Meets once a month on the third Friday in the month at 7.30pm.

The Club provides a focal point in the Oldham Districts for like minded people wishing to fly and build, or learn to fly and build, model aircraft of many types. We fly the normal fixed wing models, helicopters and gliders. These can be powered by glow engines, petrol engines, electric motors or free flight ( wind powered). Flying takes place at Greenhill site (see web reference below) for the powered models and gliding takes place at the various sites around Oldham/Saddleworth depending on the wind direction.

The Club members have a phenomenal knowledge base on models and aircraft in general, this built up over years of flying and building models and/or having worked on the real items at AVRO's BAe, and the RAF etc.

The members also, on occasions have models they wish to sell and thus there is a thriving business in second hand models and accessories available along with lots of free advice to the newcomer to the sport.  We are a friendly and inclusive Club and look forward to welcoming any new members.
